His Loving Arms Foundation

Where Care Meets Compassion

Helping caregiversbreathe again

We help caregivers and families in Brazoria County. You are a person, not a case file. We teach. We walk you to local help. We share food — before a hard season, and after one too.

You are more than the helper

Taking care of someone can make you feel like you are only “the strong one.” If you are tired, unsure, or carrying too much — welcome. We see you, not just the work you do.

His Loving Arms is a place to set the weight down. You can breathe. You can talk. You can get real help at a pace that works for you.

“Small things, done with love, still count.”

A simple truth we live by

Caregiver education

It helps to name what is hard. Tired. Sad. Feeling like you are the one who has to do everything. We talk about that in plain words. No fake cheer.

Resource navigation

Help systems are hard to use when you are already tired. You should not have to figure them out alone at midnight. We walk the list with you until a door actually opens.

Need food? You do not have to prove it. No ID. No pay stubs. Just your name, how many people you feed, and your zip code. We pack for your table.

Our heart

Show up, don't perform

Every voice is different

There is no one right way to need help. We listen first — to the mom, the son, the neighbor, and the person who has no words yet.

Show up, don't perform

You do not have to look put together. We show up. We stay. Being believed is often the first relief.

Faith in action

Faith is not a speech we give you. It is how we listen, how we keep a secret, and how we stand beside you when the room gets quiet.

Dignity in every detail

How we ask. How we pack a bag. How we say your name. You are a neighbor, not a number. You get to choose.

Our community

The ordinary work of love

Dinner. Playing outside. Talking with a home health aide. Help with dressing, and help into the car for the appointment. Every race, every generation, disability at the table — not at the door.

How to get support

You do not have to tell a perfect story. All services are by appointment only. Call, book a visit, send a note, or message us on Facebook or Instagram. A few honest sentences are enough.

YouTube Shorts

Short, honest videos for caregivers who do not have an hour — and still need to feel less alone.

Hattishia Johnican, Founder & Executive Director

From our founder

I have spent more than twenty years taking care of other people. I made a lot of mistakes. I learned this: people need to be heard. Every voice is important. Every voice is different.

You do not have to earn a listening ear

Reach out as you are. We will listen first. Then we will walk with you, one step at a time.
